MABUHAY!

Welcome to Isputing!

Isputing aims to collect and share photos of people that I see on the streets of Manila which I think looks great.

Fashion is the only cultural activity where all the members of our society participate in. Not all jeepney barkers and kolehiyalas can write a poem. Not all parloristas and sosyals can make music. Not all fishball vendors and CEOs can dance. But everyone of us wake up in the morning thinking of what to wear and putting something on altogether.

Our geographical location, 400-year-old history, tropical climate, political condition and commerce plus our own personal uniqueness, creates a different wind which molds us to how we identify ourselves among us and around the world.

Whether we like or not, we are all contributors to the evolution of a culture and that’s an art worthy of preservation.

Until I get myself a good piece of an SLR camera, I'll see you around.

*This blog is open for sponsors (hello Canon and Nikon) who would want to support an art project that documents everyday people of everyday life who makes Manila a colorful place on earth. Please e-mail author at isputingera@gmail.com and please notify me by leaving a word at the comment page.
